The Washington Quarter design was introduced in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth. This design was in use through 1998 with very few changes, and only one interruption for the bicentennial year in 1975 and 1976.

The obverse design shows a bust of George Washington facing left. The design was by John Flanagan and was based on a sculpture by Jean-Antoine Houdon. The initials "JF" for John Flanagan are seen at the base of Washington's neck.

The reverse design is also by John Flanagan and shows a bald eagle facing left, with wings spread, grasping a bundle of arrows. There are two olive branches below the arrows.

Washington Quarters like this one, dated 1964 and earlier are made from 90% silver (know as .900 fine silver or "coin silver"). This example is from 1964 and was minted at the Denver mint.

Yesterday’s Thrift Store find. Any info about this?

Found a ring yesterday. It looks like it's sterling silver. Marked "925" inside, also "RLM" and the other side of the ring is marked "Thailand."

My eBay coach/mentor says we can't list this until I have the size determined for certain. It seems to be about a 7, but I'm not absolutely certain yet. I ordered a "Mandrel Sizer Measuring Stick." I might just take it to a jeweler and have it measured so I can list it.

Sterling Silver Double Link Chain Charm Bracelet (no charms) .925 fine 8.4 grams

You are looking at a Sterling Silver double link chain bracelet. This type of bracelet is commonly used as a charm bracelet, though it can also be worn plain, without any charms. Each link in the chain is a double ring.

This bracelet is 7 inches (17.8 cm) in length and 1/4 inch (6mm) wide. The clasp is a box and tongue clasp. There is a small safety chain at the clasp as well. The clasp bears a makers mark, but I am not familiar with the marking shown, as well as the word "Sterling" identifying the piece as Sterling Silver (.925 fine). This bracelet weights 8.4 grams.

Here are some photos of the bracelet.
